Attractions
Rawai Beach:
Rawai Beach is one of Phuket south coast significant beaches. It's not a swimming beach but a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views. Enjoy delicious seafood restaurants along the beachfront or take a longtail boat to nearby islands. The beach offers a unique local feel and is perfect for a peaceful holiday.
**Free shuttle bus service from hotel is available. Please check and book the schedule in advance**
Friendship Beach:
This is a sheltered secluded beach. The main appeals of Friendship Beach are the views across Chalong Bay to Cape Panwa, Lon and Coral Island. The sea is shallow and tidal but has a fascinating sea garden to explore many different types of habitats such as star fish, crabs, and corals. Fishing and kayaking are possible and recently the beach becomes popular for kite surfing activities.
Gypsy Village:
One of the most interesting sections of population in Phuket is Sea Gypsy. The Sea Gypsies don't have any written language. They do not speak Thai but their own language related closely to Malay and influenced by Thai. There are numerous shell shops and seafood stalls where the fisherman sell their catches of the day. Restaurants located around that area will cook the seafood clients bought freshly from the stalls at a very reasonable price.
**Free shuttle bus service from hotel is available. Please check and book the schedule in advance**
Promthep Cape/ Sunset Point:
One of the most beautiful sunset viewing spots in Thailand is located in the most southern cape of Phuket island. It looks like a curve cape extending into the sea. It is surrounded by palm trees and grasses.
This landmark has always been a daily meeting point for hundreds of tourists to line up with a camera facing west.

Laem Krating:
Here is a hidden gem of the island. From Krating Resort Phuket near Ao Sane Beach, walk along the rocky cliffs and a small trail that leads to the horn-shaped rock that look like a sailboat, the landmark of Laem Krating. It takes about 35 minute walk along the path, crossing the rocks, then climb up the hill slope. Nai Harn beach, Windmill viewpoint and Phromthep Cape can also be seen from this viewpoint.
Black Rock View Point:
It's among the most challenging viewpoint to reach in Phuket. From the Karon Viewpoint, keep driving in the direction of Nai Harn Beach and take the second road on the right. Drive that dirt road and park in assigned area, then start climbing the little hill trail. The climb is about 300 metres long to admire a superb bird-eye view on the famous Nai Harn Beach and Promthep Cape and many islands beyond.
Phuket Old Town
The main central street of Phuket's charming old town is Thaland Road. There are several great shops, an eclectic mix of restaurants, cafe, museums and more. Big Buddha:
Huge Buddha image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata Beach. Because of its size, 45 metres high and 25 metres across at the base, it is easily seen from far away. The Buddha image reflects not only the faith of local people and visitors in Buddhism but also beautiful art and architecture. Plus, this place offers 360-degree views of the island.
Wat Chalong:
Chaithararam Temple, or known as Wat Chalong, dedicated to two highly venerable monks (Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang) who led citizens of local Phuket fighting against Chinese rebellion in 1876. The most recent major addition was the construction of a special chedi, 61.39 meters high, to house a fragment of bone from the Lord Buddha brought from Sri Lanka in 1999. It was installed in the chedi in September 2002 in a consecration ceremony presided over by HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, representing HM the King.
Chalong pier:
Most visitors to the islands south of Phuket depart from Chalong pier. It is the center of Phuket yachting and diving businesses.Chalong's most noticeable feature is its 720-metre long, seven-metre wide jetty. A parking area, restaurants, shops, tourist information kiosks, open-air waiting areas, and one-stop customes, immigration and harbor master service have been built to serve visitors.
